Samsung is preparing to launch its latest fitness tracker, the Galaxy Fit 3, and recent certifications from BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) and TUV Rheinland have unveiled some crucial specifications of this upcoming device.
Leaked design renders indicate that the Galaxy Fit 3 will feature a side button, a heart rate sensor, and non-removable straps. The BIS certification assigns the model number SM-R390 to the Galaxy Fit 3, hinting at an imminent launch in India.
The TUV Rheinland certification provides insights into the internal components of the fitness tracker. It reveals that the Galaxy Fit 3 will be equipped with a 200 mAh battery, an improvement of 41 mAh compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Fit 2. Additionally, the certification indicates 5W charging support for the device.
While previous leaks suggest the possibility of the Galaxy Fit 3 being available in a rose gold color variant, nothing has been officially confirmed. There are also speculations that Samsung might introduce GPS functionality, a feature absent in earlier versions, and potentially switch to the Android OS instead of rtOS. Rumors further suggest the inclusion of built-in storage for stand-alone music playback.
Although the pricing details are yet to be disclosed, it is anticipated that the Galaxy Fit 3 could be priced higher than the Galaxy Fit 2, which was priced at INR 3,999. Samsung has not announced the official launch date for the device at this time. Stay tuned for further updates on the much-anticipated Galaxy Fit 3.
