A smartphone produced by nubia, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, made its benchmark appearance in late August, leading us to speculate that it might be a new addition to the Red Magic lineup. Recent confirmations from Red Magic now solidify our suspicions, as the company announced that the Red Magic 9 Pro is scheduled for introduction on November 23.
The announcement of the date was made through a social media post by the gaming-centric branch of the brand. According to the post, the upcoming phone is not only expected to showcase an evolution in design but also improvements in performance, battery life, and screen quality.
While the teaser did not include an image of the smartphone, based on past Pro models by Red Magic, it is reasonable to anticipate a triple-camera setup, a cooling fan, and an under-display selfie camera.
The Geekbench listing from August revealed a 12 GB RAM option for the Red Magic 9 Pro. However, it is speculated that the phone may offer more powerful configurations, possibly including 16 GB or even 24 GB of RAM.
Upon its launch, the Red Magic 9 Pro is anticipated to run on Android 14 out of the box, featuring the latest version of Redmagic OS. The phone is expected to include a hardware switch on the side, allowing users to toggle the gaming mode seamlessly.
While full details will be unveiled during next week’s launch, teasers and trailers are likely to be released in the days leading up to the event.
