Qualcomm CEO Confirms Exynos-Snapdragon Split for S24 Series

During an earnings report conference call, Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon has essentially validated the reports that the upcoming Galaxy S24 series will incorporate both the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400 chipsets.

Amon stated that Qualcomm is poised to capture the lion’s share of the market for the impending Galaxy S24 series, which is set to debut shortly. This statement strongly implies that the reports suggesting that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will exclusively employ the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, irrespective of the market, are indeed accurate.

While he didn’t delve into further details, this confirmation can be considered as official as it gets. The rationale behind Qualcomm’s dominant market share is quite evident, given that the Galaxy S Ultra is the highest-grossing model within the S series. Additionally, reports have indicated that the North American S24 units will also be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. These same reports specify that only the Korean and European editions of the Galaxy S24 and S24+ will feature the Exynos 2400 chipset.

Notably, Samsung has also provided a glimpse of the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s ISOCELL Zoom Anyplace technology, which will be driven by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This serves as a clear indication that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will rely solely on the Snapdragon chipset.
